Our Ancient Whole Grain Blend combines farro, freekeh, grano, red rice, rye berries and wheat berries for a mildly nutty and sweet alternative to rice, couscous or bulgur. The grains have been selected to cook evenly and easily. Our blend is high in fiber and a substantial source of vitamins and minerals.

  • Toss with sautéed vegetables and sauce or seasoning for a vegetarian main dish
  • Mix into soups and salads or serve alongside chicken, beef or pork
  • Add nuts and raisins for a healthy hot breakfast cereal

BASIC PREP

Bring 3 cups of salted water or stock to a boil. Add 1 cup grain mix and return to a boil. Cover, reduce heat to low and simmer for 70-75 minutes, stirring occasionally until grains are tender. Season to taste.
